Global communication platform 'Jatt Messenger' built on indigenous technology
The new browser-based communication platform 'JAT Messenger' has been developed as a completely indigenous initiative to connect the people of the world across the distance barrier. With the slogan 'Made in Bangladesh, Built for the World Community' in mind, the platform was created by Dhaka-based independent software developer Jahangir Alam Talukder to make communication easier and more flexible.
The story behind the entrepreneurJahangir Alam Talukder is a Principal SDET (SDET) and Software Engineer by profession, with over 16 years of work experience. Leveraging his long experience in software testing and performance engineering for global organizations, he dreams of creating a global product of his own. His main goal was to prove that even an independent developer in Bangladesh is capable of making international quality technology products and delivering them to the world.KEY FEATURES OF 'JAT MESSENGER'
One of the biggest advantages of 'Jatt Messenger' is that it is completely browser-based, meaning it can be used from desktop or mobile browsers. Features currently available on the platform include:
- Instant messaging, emoji and group chat facilities.
- Reliable voice and HD video calling based on WebRTC technology.
- Secure access and contacts and group management with Google sign-in.
- Sharing of images, screenshots and necessary document files.
TECHNOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK AND FUTURE PLAN
Technically, 'Jat Messenger' is built on a very modern framework. It uses Cloudflare Workers and D1 for serverless applications and data storage, and adds Durable Objects and WebSockets for real-time data exchange.
The platform plans to add multilingual accessibility in its future roadmap, which will help overcome 'language barriers'. It also outlines plans to make the platform more sustainable through commercial pilots and partnerships for small businesses.
